Project: Classrooms and Hallway Redecoration
School: IQRA Slough Islamic Primary School (SL2)
As the school was a unique construction type – metal framed building with composite shell – they required a contractor with experience and specialist knowledge of this type of design. Furthermore, the previous contractor had done a poor job with cracks soon appearing, so it was imperative that the right company was found who could do the job to a high standard.
- Unique construction type
- Specialist knowledge required
- Reliable contractor needed
To deliver this project we needed to source a contractor who could fulfil the specialist brief for the school, so we worked alongside them to put together the specification. By looking through building plans, we were able to understand the exact material type and then make the right choices regarding paint and materials. From our preferred suppliers we found three quotes from contractors who not only had capacity but also which we had worked with previously so could rely on their work. After our vigorous vetting process, we were able to select a supplier for the school that we had worked with on over 40 projects previously.
- Developed specification with school
- Vetted suppliers for school’s piece of mind
- Variety of quotes found
The school was very pleased with the results which were delivered within the agreed timeframe. As we had been able to get a range of quotes during the vetting process and get the best price for the school, the entire work came in under budget. Finally, unlike the previous attempt, the correct materials and techniques were used by the suppliers, the finished project was perfect, and no cracks reappeared.
- Delivered within timeframe
- Project under budget
- Excellent results unlike previous work
