Frequently Asked Questions

We often get asked about our service so we have collated some of our most frequently asked questions below. If the answer to your question cannot be found please call or email us and we’ll be happy to help.

We have a database of suppliers who we've vetted and are ready to put forward for a contract. If we don't have a suitable supplier we will do a "bespoke search" of the market to find the best suppliers just for you.

The Better Schools Project offers value to suppliers who may otherwise find it difficult to target schools at just the right time, with just the right offering. We do charge them an introducer’s fee to present opportunities and we help them ensure that their offering is pertinent. This fee is absorbed by the suppliers, who make a significant saving on the cost of sales, research, and other overheads.

We do not get involved in the selection process with schools; our role is to present you options. To ensure full fairness you are in sole charge of selecting the best company for the contract.

You may go to market to find your own suppliers to compete with ours - whatever works best for you.

If you would like to conduct an EU qualifying tender we have a consultant we work closely with (the biggest in the UK) who can run that tender process for you; ensuring you comply with EU regulations and get the best company for the job.

All of our policies are fully compliant with EU legislation and government fairness principles - by using a consultant like us you can demonstrate a deeper and more thorough supplier search. So we don't only save you money and time but we allow you to evidence good procurement practice. We are problem solvers for you - whatever you need from canteen trays to a new sports hall build we can find the best suppliers. Also, all our work is totally free.
